It gives me great pleasure to introduce myself & my service facility. Namaskar I am Mr. Subraya Kamath alias Subhash Kamath proprietor of M/s Kamath Motors. For almost 9 years I was working at a prime ford dealer of Mumbai, I started my career as a technician & have hands on exp on maintaining ford cars. I am certified as a Level II Ford Master Technician, have attended all type of tech trainings conducted by Ford India Ltd. on the good old Ford Escort to the latest Big Daddy of the road The Ford Endeavour .
All ford brands are good to drive but starts giving maintenance problem after say three years, as the part prices are quite high the cost of ownership is also high and that’s one of the main reason for a very low resale value. At Kamath Motors we can very well assure you that the cost of ownership will be quite less. All cars should be serviced at proper intervals & I am sure that all you customers are very prompt in getting your car serviced but few of the dealers do not follow the guideline laid by Ford India resulting in major repairs.

Hi Subhash, I need your help for my Ford Ikon car. I have got Ford Ikon Flair (Apr '04 model)...done close to 70K...i got it serviced last month and since then Car has started giving very low mileage...rightnow its giving close to 6-7 Km/ Litre (with AC)...Could you please tell me what to do??? Tarun

My mechanic claims that my Engine Head is dead and needs to be changed .

I have ford Ikon 1.6 2005 Model. I got to see my engine overheated yesterday.. The needle was a red mark. I stopped and opened the bonnet for 30 minutes and it got cooled and again I started driving to home about 18 KM... Till reaching the home, it was again reached near to red mark of heating. Further I checked and found that there is no coolant at all. Please let me know whether this would have caused any serious problem in my CAR? What should I do now.
Hi Subhash, I have a ford fiesta diesel 2006 model and this giving me problems like at nights with lights on whenever I start driving my car at times i hear noise and during that time the lights start to flicker. I wait for sometime and the noise goes away. I went to the service station and the noise did not come then. instead they told me my gear oil and axle is leak. Also, they asked me to change my timing belt and some equipment on which timing belt is put (cost around 6000). they said its part of the maintenance plan. My car mileage is 70K only. Please advice if timing belt changing is necessary. Can I get it checked first if it really needs a replacement. These guys in Delhi they simply ask to change that's the whole problem. And would you advice to get these issues/replacements done from outside i.e. not from Ford service center.

I have Ford ikon 2005 model petrol....my car does not getting start we check all possible like , fuel pump ,fuel filter , Spark plug , and ignition coil and all its working fine...but still engieb does start and we checked through scanning and all current is also passing and while try to start engine Cranks and but doesn't start...kindly required your help to resolve this issue....

I am based at New Delhi and have Ford Figo 2010 model. It was giving an average of 12-15 kmpl with AC but after my last service 1 month back on 1-4-2018 it is giving an average of 6-7 kmpl. I have shown it to so many authorized ford service center in New Delhi but they all have turned out to be helpless. Can you guide me on this as to what shud i do..?
